This place is really locked down tight! Also the building is a little creepy if you live on the lower floors. The corridors are long and slightly dark with no windows. Very much so back rooms vibes. I enjoyed it, but I know some of ya'll probably won't. Also the fact that it was triangle shaped makes it extremely weird to walk around, and very easy to get turned around
I truly love the location aspect as well as it was rare for me to find apartments with no carpet as I’m severely allergic to it. From the time being here before moving out into a house officially, I had some amazing encounters. This place is taken care by Jose and Izzy. It would be nothing without them. They work hard and make sure everything is up to par, and always accommodating to help you. Unfortunately we cannot control other peoples choices living here, but Izzy and Jose always tried their best to make sure you get the best living condition!
Also: another review states there are constant fire alarms here, that is false. I never heard it going off 1-2 times every month, so I find it unfair to blame a community by someone who doesn’t even live here.

Maintenance is the reason I'm renewing my lease! Jose and Hector are more than 5 stars! I had several things that needed attention after more than a year living here (joy of living with dogs - ha!). They worked with my schedule and came by and knocked out ALL the things on my list - and then some. Even got a few upgrades to my place. It's the little things that can make or break a living experience in an apartment. Jose and Hector make this place feel like home.
BEWARE - Current and future tenants of Windsor Preston:
Be prepared to either (1) Not get your security deposit back or (2) get charged an exorbitant amount of money for "phantom damages" upon departure. This act is presumably Windsor's attempt to collect, on the back end, for the fact that some were not required to make a deposit before moving in.
Photos below (shower, oven, AC) were sent from Windsor Preston seeking $750.00 for "deep cleaning" of our old unit. Please keep in mind Windsor is also seeking an additional $650.00 for total replacement of the carpet, which had gone through at least three different occupants by the time we departed. They even had the wherewithal to suggest that dust dust that accumulated on the AC vent (which had been looked at in September by a Windsor staff member for filter replacement) costs $150.00 to clean. Total move out fee - $1,650 with a deadline to pay within 5 days before being sent to collection.
We've posted photos (attached) which we took before taking our final steps out of the apartment. Please let us know if this is as incredulous as we believe it to be.
We're upset at the fact that our request to conduct a walkthrough upon departure was redirected by Casey (property manager), who advised that they only have one staff member (Rodney) able to conduct walk throughs, and rather that we should instead take photos (which we did) as those will be used as the base for any requested fee after moving out. We simply were following Windsor's direction for request of a walkthrough, and now we're wishing we wouldn't have let Casey diverge us from that route.
Also upset that Rodney, the maintenance Manager at Windsor, told me the year prior that these type of sought after charges are actually baked into EVERYONES monthly rent fee to account for the fact that they assume they will need to conduct this type of cleaning on every unit upon tenant departure. Rodney advised they more of less look for broken pieces of drywall, substantive damages, etc.
Needless to say, we are in disbelief. Windsor refuses to give us a call to discus, and instead remains communicating via email with multiple day delay. Unprofessional.
Unfortunately, however, this is not totally unexpected given the discussions we've have with friends that have since left Windsor. It is, though, rather sad and disappointing to be taken advantage of for reasons unknown.
Also, this post does not take into account the myriad of other reasons to avoid Windsor Preston.
